
About the Role
Heartland Engineering (HE) is currently recruiting two entry level Junior Piping Designers.
Versatile projects and aspects of piping design, introduction to the most advanced design tools, exposure to the clints’ sites and extensive mentoring from the senior designers and engineers present a valuable opportunity at this stage of the piping designers’ career.
Requirements
Diploma in Computer Aided Design technology from an University/College accredited in Canada (Pipe Design/Drafting program an asset, but not required);
Eligible for an accreditation from ASET (active T.T. status preferred);
Clean driving record/abstract with a physical ability to travel and work safely at industrial sites for short terms;
Eligibility to work in Canada without sponsorship
Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microstation
Proficiency in MS Office
Knowledge of 3D CAD systems an asset, but not required
Attention to detail and accuracy
Open minded and fast learner
Good verbal and written communication skills are required in English or French
Ability to handle multiple tasks and functions
Ability to work independently and in a multi-disciplinary team environment with minimal supervision
Effective organizational and time management skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced, high volume and deadline-driven environment
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
