About the Role
Heartland Engineering (HE) is looking for an intermediate Instrumentation and Controls (I/C) engineer for a full time (FT) temporary position.
This position is including extensive work on Oil and Gas projects, predominantly focused on the Oil Sands clients.
Requirements
Bachelor degree in Engineering;
Registered as a Professional Engineer with APEGA (additional provinces registration is an asset);
Experience in Oil and Gas, Petrochemical and/or Chemical industries;
DCS/PLC/Controls experience;
Working knowledge in Smart Plant Instrumentation (SPI);
Proficiency with MS Office suite;
Clean driving record/abstract with a physical ability to travel and work safely at industrial sites for short terms;
Eligibility to work in Canada without sponsorship
Good verbal and written communication skills are required in English or French
Ability to handle multiple tasks and functions
Ability to work independently and in a multi-disciplinary team environment with minimal supervision
Effective organizational and time management skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced, high volume and deadline-driven environment
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
